Sonic Charters is super excited to announce that our beautiful new boat has arrived safely in St. Thomas for its St Thomas and St John charter guests to enjoy! It has been a bit of a process getting it exactly how we want (courtesy of the great work by Island Marine in Fajardo, PR) but we knew this boat had potential to be one of the best charter boats in the Virgin Islands and all of the hard work has finally paid off. “Cuervita” is a 31 foot Jupiter with brand new twin Yamaha 300 engines (thanks to Offshore Marine) and her layout is pretty amazing. Big open hull with seating for 10 and a sound system to knock your socks off. Cuervita’s inaugural charter is on October 15th. She will be in perfect shape by then and ready for an action packed day for our cruise ship excursion guests that in St. Thomas for the day!

A short history of her name: Our business is named Sonic Charters after our awesome dog Sonic, a black lab – pit-bull mix that we’ve had for 5 years. About 1.5 years ago we adopted a second dog and named her Raven, also a black lab- pit bull mix and the runt of the litter. Our new boat came from Puerto Rico and we saw it very fitting to name her after little miss Raven and so boat #2 will be called Cuervita which translates to “little Raven” in Spanish. Future blog to come with a detailed history of our business so stay tuned!
