St. Thomas has continued to expand its catalog of beautiful attractions. The latest entry is this one, Phantasea Tropical Botanical Garden, which began as a private garden collection, and is now open to the public.

As a recent news story described it:

Bamboo handrails and gravel paths lead visitors through a shaded garden on Sibilly Circle, just off St. Peter Mountain Road, where they can enjoy more than 1,000 types of orchids and hundreds of bromeliads, heliconias, gingers and palms boasting vibrant colors and faint perfumes.

A certified wildlife habitat, Balinese huts and quaint seating areas allow wanderers to hide from the rain or take a quick rest as they listen to the cawing of peacocks and calls of the coquis in the damp, cool air.

If you’re coming to St. Thomas and looking for new and memorable things to do, this is shaping up to be one of the premiere destinations for nature lovers throughout the USVI.

And if you want to see nature by sea, of course there is no better way than from the deck of a boat. Contact Sonic to learn more about how our St. Thomas boat rentals can get you everywhere on the island you want to see.
