When most people imagine the good life, the image that instantly springs to mind is a white sand beach with aqua waters. Perhaps that’s we attract so many dreamers from around the globe to the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Now we can add one more name to the list of dreamers: Gordon Ramsay, famously bombastic restaurateur and TV personality. Speaking to Forbes magazine recently, the celebrity chef disclosed that he’d like to someday live out his days in our own paradise:

When first asked about the end-game, Ramsay blanked. “I don’t know,” he said. “It scares the s*** out of me.” He quickly recovered and revealed what might be his strangest idea for a restaurant yet. . . .

“I’m gonna buy a boat,” he said, “go down to the Virgin Islands and buy a restaurant. Do something I’ve done before. Close it six days a week and open it one day a week. Just one day a week. I’ll fish and dive the other days.”

For everyone else who wants to enjoy our breezy islands but don’t want a boat of their own, there is Sonic Charters. We offer all-day and half-day private cruises throughout the islands, with stopovers anywhere you like for diving, snorkeling and more.
